Author Guidelines
Wanastra: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra accepts manuscripts that are relevant to the journal’s focus and scope. All manuscripts must be written in English. The article should contain the following sections:
1. Title
2. Author Information
3. Abstract (Bahasa Indonesia and English)
4. Introduction
5. Research Methodology
6. Results and Discussion
7. Conclusion
8. Reference
9. Acknowledgement
10. Plagiarism (Additional information)
WRITING STEPS:
1. The title should be written in Times New Roman, 14 pt font size, while the rest of the manuscript should be written in Times New Roman, 10 pt font size.
2. Do not use tab indentation for paragraphs. The paragraph formatting should be set to 0 pt spacing before, 0 pt spacing after, and single line spacing.
3. Figures should use single spacing, and all figure labels should also be written in single spacing.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Title:
a. The title should be concise and informative, with maximum length is 14 words.
b. Avoid unnecessary phrases such as:
“A (Study/Analysis/Investigation/Observation/Implementation/Design) of…” Please state the main topic of the research directly.
2. Author information:
a. Author name(s)
b. Institutional affiliation(s)
c. Corresponding author email address
d. Author email address
3. Abstract (Bahasa Indonesia and English):
a. The abstract should consist of 100–250 words, written in Times New Roman, 10 pt, single spacing, and must not contain tables, figures, or equations.
b. The abstract should include the background of the research, research objectives, research methodology, and key findings or results.
c. Provide 3–5 keywords or phrases.
4. Introduction:
a. Background of the research problem
b. Research gap in previous studies and the novelty of the research
c. Research objectives and significance of the study
d. Includes a literature review, and all citations must follow APA Style.
e. Foreign terms should be written in italic format.
5. Research Methodology
a. Research design, procedures, methods, data collection techniques.
b. All methods should be supported by relevant references.
6. Results and Discussion
a. Present the research results, which may be in the form of tables, figures, graphs, or statistical data. Labels for tables should be placed above the table, while labels for figures, graphs, or statistical illustrations should be placed below them. These should be referred to in the text as Table 1 or Figure 1, and mention the sources.
b. Equations and symbols should be written in italic format.
c. Provide interpretation and explanation in the discussion section.
d. Compare the results with previous studies
e. Highlight the novelty and contribution of the research.
f. Numbering and subsections can be organized as follows:
1. Main Section
a. Subsection
1) Sub-subsection
7. Conclusion
a. Answer the research objectives stated in the introduction
b. Highlight the main contribution of the study
c. Suggest possible directions for future research
d. Avoid presenting new data or statistical analysis in the conclusion section.
8. References
a. All references must follow APA Style and should use reference management software such as Mendeley.
b. Manuscripts should contain at least 15 references, consisting of 40% primary sources (Scopus/WoS indexed journals or proceedings) and 60% sources from peer-reviewed journals, proceedings, academic books, or theses/dissertations, preferably published within the last 5 years.
9. Acknowledgment
a. Authors should provide a statement indicating whether AI tools were used in the research or manuscript preparation, including for data analysis support, writing improvement, grammar checking, or creating images, graphics, or figures.
b. If any, acknowledgment can be stated here. This section displays authors’ appreciation to sponsors, fund donors, resource persons, or parties who have an important role in conducting research.
10. Plagiarism
a. Authors must ensure that the manuscript is original and not duplicated from previously published work by the same author or others.
b. The maximum acceptable plagiarism similarity rate is 20%
