Implementasi Metode Prototype dalam Sistem Informasi Penyewaan Kamar Kos Berbasis Web

Keterbatasan akses informasi dan tidak terintegrasinya data penyewaan kamar kos telah menyebabkan proses pencarian dan pemasaran kos menjadi tidak efisien bagi pencari maupun pemilik kos. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan metode Prototype dalam sistem informasi penyewaan kamar kos berbasis web guna memfasilitasi pencarian, pemesanan, dan pengelolaan data kos secara terstruktur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi analisis kebutuhan pengguna, perancangan alur sistem, pembuatan prototype, serta pengujian sistem menggunakan pendekatan pengujian fungsional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dibangun mampu memusatkan informasi kos, menyediakan fitur pencarian dan penyaringan yang relevan, serta mendukung pemilik kos dalam mengelola data dan transaksi penyewaan. Pengujian fungsional menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fungsi utama sistem berjalan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode Prototype efektif dalam menghasilkan sistem informasi penyewaan kos yang lebih responsif terhadap kebutuhan pengguna dan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi proses pencarian dan pengelolaan kamar kos.
Limited access to information and unintegrated rental data had caused inefficiencies in boarding house searching and marketing processes for both tenants and property owners. This study aimed to implement the Prototype method in a web-based boarding house rental information system to facilitate structured searching, booking, and data management. The research method included user requirements analysis, system flow design, prototype development, and system testing using a functional testing approach. The results showed that the developed system was able to centralize boarding house information, provide relevant search and filtering features, and support property owners in managing rental data and transactions. Functional testing indicated that all main system features operated according to user requirements. This study concluded that the implementation of the Prototype method was effective in producing a boarding house rental information system that was responsive to user needs and improved the efficiency of searching and managing boarding house rentals.
