Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat usability pada aplikasi mobile Shopee dan Tokopedia menggunakan metode Heuristic Evaluation berdasarkan sepuluh prinsip Nielsen. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah tingginya jumlah pengguna kedua platform e-commerce tersebut yang masih disertai keluhan terkait tampilan antarmuka dan pengalaman pengguna. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 100 responden, masing-masing 50 pengguna Shopee dan 50 pengguna Tokopedia. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, serta analisis regresi linier berganda untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel heuristik terhadap usability. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh instrumen dinyatakan valid dan reliabel, serta data berdistribusi normal dan memiliki hubungan linear. Secara simultan, sepuluh variabel Heuristic Evaluation berpengaruh signifikan terhadap usability dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 71,8% pada Shopee dan 75,3% pada Tokopedia. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa prinsip heuristik memiliki kontribusi kuat dalam menjelaskan tingkat usability kedua aplikasi. Secara umum, kedua platform memiliki tingkat usability yang baik, meskipun masih diperlukan perbaikan pada aspek tertentu guna meningkatkan kualitas pengalaman pengguna.

This study aims to analyze the usability level of Shopee and Tokopedia mobile applications using the Heuristic Evaluation method based on Nielsen's ten principles. The background of this study is the high number of users of both e-commerce platforms who still have complaints regarding the interface and user experience. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents, 50 Shopee users and 50 Tokopedia users respectively. Data were analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, linearity tests, and multiple linear regression analysis to determine the effect of heuristic variables on usability. The results showed that all instruments were declared valid and reliable, and the data were normally distributed and had a linear relationship. Simultaneously, the ten Heuristic Evaluation variables had a significant effect on usability with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 71.8% for Shopee and 75.3% for Tokopedia. These results indicate that the heuristic principle has a strong contribution in explaining the usability level of both applications. In general, both platforms have a good level of usability, although improvements are still needed in certain aspects to improve the quality of the user experience.
